Hernandez is the £9m Irons target

|

chicWest Ham have this morning confirmed ClaretandHugh’s story that a £9 million bid was yesterday launched for a striker.

That player is Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez.

Hernandez’s name emerged in the national press this morning and  few minutes ago when we asked directly if he was the target we were told by a top insider: “Yes, but there are others should we fail on him.

“Javier has been on our list of possible signings for some time and we believe he would help bring a style of play the manager is looking for.”

That would seem to nail – as we again reported yesterday -any move for Charlie Austin who has been widely linked with us but who style of play is a million miles from Hernadez’s.

The Mexican has scored 37 goals in 102 Manchester United appearances and another seven in 23 for Real Madrid during a season long loan last season before his return to Old Trafford when th Spanish giants failed to make it a permanent deal.

This is exciting news,no doubt the stattos are already pawing all over the figures but they’d paint a false picture due to his sub appearances. If we can get him and Slav undoubtedly will motivate him he will be a star for us,another step up in class. He’s no Carlton though lol

This would be a proper signing.Connor Wickham wanted last summer,Javi Hernandez wanted this summer. What a difference a year makes 😉

Hernandez would be quality, always thought he was a top player.Though going by previous days im sure a sniper will appear from the bushes to tell me why he is sh*t!! 😀

Love to have him at the club.Wanted him from the get go,maybe my prayers will be answered, lol

  • bubs says:

He would fit well with Sakho or Carroll and another option to Valencia,
Will he want to come to us and I expect others such as Athletico Madrid to come in for him the minute we start talks,
Be good business for club and fans if we can get him

If we could get Hernandez it will be a top signing. What a long way we would have come in four years.Happy this story has come out today,it has put to bed the Jenks debate for a day,lol 😀

Would take Hernandez all day long, whats not to like, quality player, played for the best.Big step in the right direction if he came to us.

Have we gone mad, 9m for a player who cant kick a ball, what an absolute waste of money and if this is true, well I am sorry to say I am already beginning to lose faith in whoever is making these decisions, Hernandez has no pace, is too small and how he ever ended up at Man Utd and Real Madrid is a mystery to me. The two David’s don’t do this and destroy all your work. We need a winger and a playmaker not a striker who has no pace nor power.

  • Tysonm says:

Haha,if you say so johnham.Maybe the fact that him playing for Man.Utd & Real is a mystery to you explains alot about your comment 😉

  • boys of 66 says:

Ok,its official, the Jenks signing has finally tipped John over the edge & he has now totally lost the plot 😀

  • johnham1 says:

Love the comments – I don’t rate either of these two signings but I really hope they prove me wrong if they do sign – but I doubt it. Just not top class for me living off fabricated reputations.. I am going to tell you if I am right – I will be expecting some people to eat humble pie lol lol !!!

  • Dainon says:

Who do you want John ?? Who are the guys we should be going after
