West Ham United‘s hunt for a new manager has become a whirlwind, with a staggering 13 names linked to the job since our humiliating 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace. This number, ironically mirroring the potential number of signings they might need this summer, reflects the immense task ahead for Technical Director Tim Steidten, David Sullivan and the chosen manager.

The list of potential replacements for David Moyes is a diverse one, featuring established names like Ruben Amorim, Julen Lopetegui, Thomas Tuchel, and Marco Silva, alongside up-and-coming managers such as Kieran McKenna, Steve Cooper, and Vincent Kompany. Interestingly, some high-profile figures like Hansi Flick were also mentioned, though the likelihood of them joining seems remote.

As if the manager hunt wasn’t chaotic enough, according to a report on TBR , there is yet another name into the mix – Eusebio Di Francesco. The 54-year-old currently manages Frosinone, a team battling relegation in Serie A. While Di Francesco boasts experience with Roma and Sampdoria, his win ratio and current predicament with Frosinone raise serious questions amongst fans.

Di Francesco’s candidacy appears unlikely. His lack of success compared to other contenders, coupled with his current situation, makes him a risky choice. West Ham fans likely crave a manager with a winning mentality and a defined philosophy, which Di Francesco might not offer.

With David Sullivan reportedly researching Di Francesco, it’s clear West Ham are leaving no stone unturned in their manager search. However, it is safe to assume that Sullivan will ultimately prioritise a more promising candidate than the Italian manager.

West Ham’s quest for a new manager remains unresolved. The sheer number of names linked with the job highlights their desperation to find the right fit.
