Hogan appearance may have ended his Irons chances

|

scott-hogan1Scott Hogan’s future with West Ham looked even less likely today after he returned to the Brentford side swept aside by Chelsea 4-0 in the west London FA Cup clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Bees striker has been missing from the Championship side’s line ups over recent games as speculation over his move to the London Stadium continued.

However, as we have reported, with Brentford refusing to budge from the £15 million asking price, the Hammers interest has cooled considerably.

And that may be the reason the 24 year old was thrown into the Stamford Bridge action in the 64th minute with the Premier League side leading 2-0.

Hogan was tracked regularly by recruitment director to the board Tony Henry who liked the player but Slaven Bilic is not so keen.

And with the Bees sticking relentlessly to the £15 million price tag the Hammers will hang on to their money until summer unless there is a late price collapse on deadline day.

However, his appearance for the Bees – with the attendant risk of injury- suggests a deal is receding fast.

Martinez scored for Oxford in their 3 0 win over Newcastle he had only been on the field for 17 minutes, hopefully we will sign Hogan but will also be good to see how Martinez does at Oxford COYI !!!

think we’ve ,essed brentford around a bit, and the player.
always an odd move for me as the lads had 2 big knee ops in the last 2 years. We moved away from Charlie Austin due to risk of injury, so 15mill on this kids odd. should have bought Niang
