Mark Lawrenson has forgotten any affiliation with merseyside he once had to tip Everton for defeat against the Irons tomorrow night (Wed).
The former Liverpool defender believes David Moyes will come out victorious in a key battle at Goodison Park although he reckons it will be very tight.
He believes those three precious points are heading back to the east end in what he reckons will become a shoot- out between two currently horrible defences with Everton having conceded 28 goals and ourselves 26.
Lawrenson said on the BBC website: “The Toffees are still struggling to score goals but it is at the back where they have the biggest problems. They are all over the place,”
“They have conceded at least two goals in each of their seven games under caretaker boss David Unsworth, and have shipped 11 goals in their past three matches. Even West Ham’s defence is not that bad.”
Cheers for the glowing testimony!
Charlie Austin got two on Sunday which if you half closed your eyes could have been AC. Close in headers. Not saying he will do it tomorrow of course. 1.We don’t seem able to land those sort of crosses. 2 He seems to have given up jumping.
From listening to Moyes I think there is some sort of plan to get him to be less like a baby elephant. I guess this is to avoid more cards & to avoid injuries. Trouble is what does this leave you with?
3 He never make near post runs. Ever.
Phuck the pundits ; none of them have the gumption to Manage a football team . A very comfortable life , thank you .
One Fat alcoholic , one failed player , one not so special player and one big mouthed pundit on Sky News make up the bench every weekend … the only two I have an inclination to respect are ; Charlie Nicolason and Phill Thomson ,,, the rest , well . Nuff said
There’ye Job is to comment on games ,, not to criticize teams and Thier managers and to tell them how to run the club . As for Thier predictions!! , glad I’m not a gambling man .
