Masuaku: We will improve under Moyes

|

Masu1Arthur Masuaku is convinced that things are going to change under David Moyes but admits the defence needs to improve.

Speaking to the official site the left sided defender/midfielder said: “We have had a poor start, but we have to keep working because that is the only way we’re going to change.

“I think we have been lacking in confidence, but I think once we get a win that will return.

“This is an important game. We are fighting with them to get out of this position, so if we win this game it would be a big boost for us.

“We just need to play our game. We need to be more compact, stronger defensively and if we score first that would give us a great platform to win the game.”

The Frenchman is happy to be used in a more attacking role saying: ” I enjoyed playing an attacking role.. When I was younger I played in that position so It’s not new for me.

“My ambition is to play every game. I’ve been involved in the last two, I want to keep going, keep working hard in training and be 100 per cent match fit.

“The new manager has changed some things – he’s more involved at training and if we make a mistake he will stop and explain what happened. With time we will improve a lot under him.”

    I like this guy… he’s still young. He’s a definite talent.
Fingers crossed he just gets better and better.

He has the right attitude. He wants to learn and he should develop into a decent left winger who can bite back when he loses the ball. He just needs to improve his team-work, which should come with passing practice in training.
He is right to point at the defense, but it has already improved with him being taken out of it.

So basically Bilic bought a left winger to play left back. Just like he tried to convert our best right winger into a right back.

ha ha could put it that way lol

Actually I have to speak up for him. After unsuccessfully trying for 2 or 3 british based left-backs who he wanted, he had to make do with one from the scouting team who he didn’t know about. He said at the time that he was relying on the scouts because he didn’t know Masuaku.

Bilic was a disaster and got the points when he inherited a good team . He then proceeded to progressively destroy the team and how we played . Good riddance and let’s forget him .
Moyes can be good for us given time . We already look like a better outfit after just two games . We need 3 points against Everton and I think we are looking good to get them .

Well said Kevin; 100% behind you on those sentiments, and regards Bilic I’ve been saying that to mostly deaf ears since he joined! COYI
