Mario wants the quality to show

|

Joao Mario wants the Hammers to show off their quality against Manchester City on Sunday as they bid for points against the best team in the league.

Speaking to the official site the midfielder said: “Everyone enjoys watching the way Manchester City play. They have amazing football players and they are an incredible team.

“This is when you can show your quality, playing against big teams. We will try to find the space and do our best.”

He has made it very clear also that he enjoys being with the Irons declaring: “I’m really enjoying my time here. The team is improving a lot, and playing in the Premier League is amazing for me. I think it’s the best championship in the world, so I’m really happy to be here.

“Playing in the Premier League was a goal for me, so I’ll keep going but the most important thing is guaranteeing our safety.”

The quality will show on Sunday.

It just won’t be from us.

We all want the quality to show .. the question is who will show it ? .
I believe We have the quality and there have been recent games where it has shown itself but it’s down to actually showing it now when it matters most . Good luck Sunday , Mario .
We all want to see it , make it so .

make a tackle then mario, rather than bottling every 50/50

If Mario is not dropped for Man-City we have no chance. It will be a “hammering”.

He is too light wait, and does not tackle, or win any balls in general. Lanzni has to start, there is no point saving him now there is only four games left!

Its like carrying a man when we play him. Yes he has some “ok” footwork and i’m sure he has some potential, but he is not ready for Man-city.

The guys just getting his footing in the premier league, but definitely has quality…I know he seems a tad lightweight but I think he’ll come good …remember he is playing with a very weak team….until payet left lanzini was and still is lightweight…I hope he plays but….that’s for the manager to choose…we definitely ain’t got too many options …plus we’re up against man city so ….it’ll be chance for everyone to shine…iTS not going to be a game where you can hide !! They’re either going to be up for it or the scoreline could be shameful…backs to the wall chaps ….we can nick it 😉

Surely Lanzini will play instead of Mario.

Playing against Man City is where you need all your technically gifted players on the pitch as we will need to either play through them or attack the spaces they leave. Quick feet and sharp footballing minds will need to be sharp of which Mario fits in to that bracket. I agree he suffers against the likes of Stoke, Burnley & West Brom who are big physical teams but he should come good against the likes of City, Liverpool & Leicester who like to move the ball about. ‘Big players turn up for big games’. We’ll see Sunday!!
