Song will be hoping to make the squad for the match at Spurs and beyond as he bids to show that he’s worth a permanent contract at the end of the season.
After the disappointment over Payet’s injury, this is a welcome piece of good news, assuming he can show the form he had during the first half of last season. Still not forgotten that slide-rule pass he made for Downing’s goal against Hull.
