Optimistic Kouyate eyes early return

|

KouyatewesthamCheikhou Kouyate is aiming at a quicker return to action than the six weeks declared by David Gold on Twitter.

The Senegal international believes that he can recover quicker than that over a period which includes an international international break.

The player has revealed to pals that he believes he will be fit to return in four weeks but the West Ham medics may take a different view!

If he’s correct  it would put him in line for a recall against Manchester City on the 25th October or certainly Stoke City on the 1st of November.

However, manager Sam Allardyce is very careful with players retiring from injury as has been seen with Carl Jenkinson.

Kayoute remains confident privately, though that he can beat the six week deadline.

I love this guys attitude, such determination to get out on the pitch and play for the team.I bet you wont see Cheikhou wearing gloves on the pitch when winter comes.

Problem is we want him back as soon as possible but we don’t want to loose him just as quick because of 1 or 2 more weeks out, we have to have a back up plan if he is missing bring on Deigo (has he got what we need) we will only find out by sticking to our game plan of 2 up top Noble and Downing left loose to provide and Song and now Deigo to win the ball and give extra cover for the back 4 ( come on Sam be brave shock the good lady again )
