Report: Irons eye defender

|

The Irons are this morning being reported as  monitoring Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone.

Kone, a £5million signing from French side Lorient 11 months ago, helped Sunderlad avoid relegation under Sam Allardyce last season, although he has yet to find the same form this campaign.

However, according to the Mirror there is interest in the 27 year old as the manager looks to reinforce his defence in the January wndow.

We were reported to be interested in him before, this reminds me a tad of when we beat Bury 10-0,in the league cup, then bought their centre back,Paul Hilton.
If this report is true the writings on the wall for Reece Oxford, I’m afraid. COYI

He looked different class last season, this season he wanted to move to a team with higher aspirations but Moyes/Sunderland blocked it, his attitude has to then come into question doesn’t it ? What happens if we sign him and he can’t find his level, like Baddow says why not use Oxford give him the experience and let him grow unless there is something that none of us know ?

You are right he was different class last season. To be honest i don’t blame him for wanting out of sunderland,he could probably see the writing was on the wall for this season for them 😉
