Report: Serie A club prepare second bid for Hammer

|

Fiorentina are planning a second bid West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang after seeing their first offer rejected, a report by Football Insider claims

Fiorentina are reported to be keen to bring the former Sampdoria star back to Serie A ahead of next season and have already seen one bid turned down by West Ham this summer.

The website quotes a well-placed source that West Ham will consider selling Obiang for the right figure this summer and Fiorentina are refusing to give up on the Spaniard by making a second improved bid later this week.

Obiang made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers scoring two goals including his stunning strike in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley.

The 26-year-old still has four years to run on his contract. Obiang is still highly-regarded in Italy after coming up through the youth ranks at Sampdoria and playing five years in the first-team before moving to West Ham in 2015.

We didn’t see the best of him last year, so I think it would be a shame to lose him. He’s an asset. If we are going to sell him, we have to at least triple our money.

Still think he has more to offer us. I would hang on to him.

    Agree with both above👍
Would like to see a full, injury-free season from him under Manny.

Since the end of the 2015/16 season Obiang has spent twice as long out injured as Wilshire. yet nobody wants Wilshere because he’s injury prone.

good point. i actually think we would be silly not to get Wilshire for free, given the injury to Lanzzini

I’d like Wilshere to sign, what’s not to like he’s free 26 with his peak ahead of him,and I make him unlucky with injuries as his problems have all been different and not one recurring injury,he played a full seasons worth of games albeit including cup games last year so I’ve been swayed towards the “worth a punt” side as far as Jack goes.COYI

Think I’ve mentioned it before but I’d take Wilshere also.
