Samuelsen: “Fans made it easy for me”

|

SamuelsensTeenager Martin Samuelsen is already establishing himself as a fans favourite.

The Norwegian 18 year old made a terrific start to his Irons career at Peterborough last weekend and impressed his boss sufficiently to step onto the European stage last night (Thurs) as a second half sub.

And he received a brilliant reception from the ‘Claret and Blue Army’ as he showed some fine skills.

Speaking to the official website he said: ” “It felt amazing to play at the Boleyn Ground and it was a really good feeling.

“I was very nervous when Slaven first called me to go on but I wanted to enjoy the moment. The fans are amazing and I heard them supporting me. They made it easy for me to go on.

“It was important that we got the victory. We worked hard until the final minutes and thought we played well in the final stages of the game. Overall we had a good performance. I am confident we can make it through to the next round. ”

Seems a great lad as well as a great prospect, but he must remember vikings show no nerves before battle just ask Eriko the Red lol
Btw this young man shows exactly why he’s with us and Rav isn’t it’s all about application and attitude

Noy you made it very easy for us
Keep giving 100% and the fans will as well

Actually, the real reason for us to grow a really fearsome beard is so that we can hide our nervy looks better. All we need is a foul voice, some huge hipster beard and a helmet with horns to make people believe we are hardcore slayers 😉

Samuelsen is actually all over the media now. Was at the airport yesterday, when I suddenly saw him in claret&blue on the big screen. He is making the headlines these days!!

spot on guys, he’s a great example on the kind of attitude that’s been lacking in Rav, and other academy players before him. Rav wasn’t from our academy, but still..

The good thing eriko is when he is 35 he will look 23 and we should be able to sell him as a youth player,
Still don’t understand why City let him leave, must be a Manchester thing ?

It’s really strange, hope he can handle premiership level within this season and that we can tie him up on a 8 year deal!! Rumours have it his height has developed very quickly the last year.. so maybe he lacked much of the physical presence!? He’s pretty tall now so give him a year on a proteins and lock him onto heavy weight training, and we might have a superstar!!
