West Ham United are reportedly monitoring Vitoria Guimaraes winger Jota Silva, according to a transfer update from the Daily Express. The Hammers are said to be part of a three-way competition with Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham for the Portuguese winger’s services this summer.
Dubbed “the future of Portuguese football,” Silva might be considered a late bloomer at 24. He’s currently making waves in the Portuguese league with his standout performances on the left side of the attack. This season, Silva has scored 15 goals and provided seven assists in 38 appearances across various competitions for Vitoria Guimaraes.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the next season, there could be an opportunity for West Ham to secure his services at a reduced rate later this summer.
