Slaven Bilic faces tough test this afternoon

|

bilicSlaven Bilic will face the press for the first time since the transfer window closed on 31st August.

The pre-match press conference is scheduled for 1.30pm at Rush Green training ground this afternoon. He is likely to

He is likely to grilled over his relationship with the owners after David Sullivan appeared to throw him under the bus with a website statement that Bilic turned down two players. Slav is likely to be asked why he turned down the chance to sign  Renato Sanches and Grzegorz Krychowiak.

High on the agenda will also be William Carvalho and reporters are guaranteed to press the Croatian on his version of events and what bids were made to his knowledge.

Diafra Sakho’s jolly trip to France and Chelmsford races will also be a topic of conversation and that will all be before they ask him about the pressure of losing three Premier League games on the trot and other managers being constantly being linked with his job in the papers.

If there is still time they may even ask him about Monday night’s home game against Huddersfield and the team news.

Hopefully, we will get injury updates on Lanzini, Fernandes, Reid and Carroll as well as his preparations for his home game. We will cover the press conference from Rush Green this afternoon.

Why do the press keep harping on about two players which Bilic didn’t want?? That’s his job, as manager, to decide who he wants in the team. The issue here is why he can’t motivate a squad, which on paper, is more than good enough to make an impression in the PL??

  • jimbo says:

Fug – Because our idiot Chairman went public in stating he offered both to Bilic. Had he kept his gob shut, it wouldn’t be an issue.

Nice one Sybil !! AND IF THERE IS STILL TIME 😂😂😂
He will probably wave them away and say jack !!
Two ways to go , cane the board or keep schtum and be diplomatic !! He’s a lovely man at heart so he will probably be himself and be evasive to the questions imo 😎

You never know amongst all the drama a football match might even break out monday.I mean thats why we support west ham isnt it,too cheer on the team not spend all our time *****ing about chairmen.

Since when has bltching been a term that should be blanked out.Hardly swearing or abusive.

  • FUGMASTER says:

As I said Jimbo, IMHO, the manager should decide who he wants playing for the team, and will live or die by his decisions…In Bilic’s case , probably the latter, compounded by his (and his coaches) lack of motivational skills with the team.

Agree Fug, he didn’t want them which is fair enough, he wanted Carvalho and should have got him if the chairmen really wanted to back him.
