I want Slaven to succeed as I think it is important to a club for stability that the manager does well and you cannot question his passion for the club.

However, I am shocked as to the lack of questions being asked regarding his tactics.

In our biggest game for years he picked a starting XI that I don’t think any West Ham fan could have predicted and left our two best strikers (Sakho and Carroll) on the bench. This game was a must win game and to then bring on Calleri completely baffled me. If anyone educate me on why these decisions were made then please let me know because not only am i worried for the remainder of the season, I am worried that if we pick up a few results it will only paper over the cracks and I am not sure whether Slaven has shown in his transfer dealings, pre game tactics, or in game decisions whether he is up to the job. Yesterday was crying out for us to be proactive, Swansea were woeful, go and get that Second goal. Get the crowd up, restore some confidence but we just didn’t go to that next level.

Can you trust him with money to spend in the summer? What are we going to do with the Fonte, Snodgrass, Feghouli, Nordveit, Ayew who just are not up to the task. Do we need a fresh pair of eyes to overhaul this average squad?

We have been shipping in goals since the last 7/8 games of last year. Nearly 12 months later and much of the questions remain unanswered. For me that is a massive issue. Kouyate and Noble don’t seem to mark anyone in the centre of the pitch, why is that, I think sometimes football can be made a simple game and if you told Noble or Kouyate to man mark Sigurdsson for 90 minutes they would do the job and do it well. You can then let Lanzini be the create spark.

I could go o. All i am saying is that i am worried about our DNA on match day. Last season we were a counter attacking side with pace, I am not sure what our Plan A is these days, let alone a Plan B. It can’t help the player that one week they have to lump the ball up to Carroll and next week they are trying to play it into Calleri/Ayew. I am worried and I want Slaven to start making decisions because he is learning from his mistakes, and the players are learning from theirs. I don’t see that happening at the minute. When was the last time we were proactive in making substitutions and not reacting to being a goal or two down. I want to us finish the season strongly and do well. However, I really believe our board need to consider how they want to move forward. Slav is a popular guy and a excellent man manager, but you need to be more than that to be a top, top manager.
