Tough season but fans hail ‘King Slav’

|

It’s not exactly been the season Hammers fans were expecting but it’s getting better all the time.

But despite all the various pressures visited on manager Slaven Bilic from a new stadium to Dimi Payet the boss remains top man with the vast majority of fans.

After a ClaretandHugh blog praised the manager for his managerial skills and personal behaviour during some deeply pressurised times the fans reacted with almost total agreement.

O He’s special. He really gets us. In a,way I haven’t seen since Bill Bonds ran the show as an interim manager.
O As well as loving the club, knowing the game and being passionate about it all… he is probably the most intelligent manager we have ever had. And compared to some he is also very humble. It all goes along way with me. COYI.
O Β He’s certainly the most outwardly passionate manager we have had (as recent events prove). And I love him for that!
O Total commitment. Lives, breathes and kicks every ball in every game. Does genuinely seem to love everything about the club and its magnificent passionate supporters.
O King Slav.

O John Llyall will always be my favourite but Slav is definitely a great manager and ambassador for our club

Greenwood and Lyall were our most succesful and influential managers, and Lyall was my favorite character of them all, but Slav has the chance to become as good.
He has made mistakes ( some glaring ), but I have always backed him to come good, while also critisizing his mistakes.
The test is will he learn quick from his mistakes, and the answer is yes he is very intelligent and humble enough to do that.
A few faint-hearts called for his head a couple of months ago, but the majority of supporters will back him.
