Axel Disasi’s recent travails as a Chelsea player should serve as a stern cautionary tale to any professional thinking of signing for The Blues as their bloated, 30 man squad still defies logic despite finally culling their ‘unwanted’ millionaires from the ‘bomb squad’ last year.
Disasi’s own bomb squad experience- with no first team football for over a year and becoming a virtual pariah at the club, training away from the main squad and turning out with the u21’s just to get some match fitness, should surely make any youngster think twice about signing.

Crysencio Summerville will have many suitors this summer – Chelsea move seems to make little sense
However it seems Chelsea are the latest club on the trail of West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville.
The Flying Dutchman, excelling at the World Cup for Netherlands is apparently, according to the telegraph.co.uk, on Xabi Alonso’s hit list this summer.
Scratch the surface though and it is clear Summerville would be well advised to plan his next move very carefully.
As reported by fan site thechelseachronicle.com, there is a pretty compelling argument for Summerville looking elsewhere to further his career:
“Chelsea already have five first-choice wingers to choose from. The Blues already have Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens on the left, while Pedro Neto is the first choice ahead of Estevao and new signing Geovany Quenda on the right.”
Which would seem a pretty big red flag for the young winger who needs to pick carefully where his career is headed next – Disasi still has to escape the clutches of the bomb squad stigma and might well counsel his young former team mate to head off to an alternative club where he is likely to be playing regular football.
Fortunately, performing as well as he is at FIFA’s showpiece tournament, the winger most likely won’t be short of offers this summer.
Any further news on Disasi’s future Martin? I seem to remember reading he may consider another loan with us and a permanent transfer if we get promoted
