David Moyes has dropped a few bombshells in his team selection for team to play Dinamo Zagreb in the first Europa Cup match tonight.

The biggest may be the inclusion of Manu Lanzini with Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop and  not far behind in what represents a side with defensive balance and a threatening midfield.

The manager is continually defying his caution reputation and it’s making for exciting discussion among the fans whether we agree or otherwise with his decisions.

Zouma will make his Hammers debut alongside Diop with Fredericks on the right side and Cress on the left of a back four which is bound to create big discussion.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek are maintained in their defensive midfield positions behind Pablo Fornals, Nikola Vlasic and Manu Lanzini behind Mikey Antonio.

The only surprise given the number of changes perhaps is that No 2 goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is still waiting for his chance.
