Hopeful Irons injury update

|

West Ham are hopeful that Ben Johnson will be available for selection for the match against Norwich at the weekend.

He has started training on grass this week after suffering what we have been told was a soft tissue issue rather than a hammie.

With Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna almost certainly ruled out for the season it’s the first bit of good news we have had over the last couple of weeks.

Having said that, it’s difficult to see where the youngster will fit into the manager’s plans with Vladi Coufal having regained the right back position should he be available.

And should Aaron Cresswell return to the left back role after injury that could see Ben battling with Arthur Masuaku for the left sided midfield role.

Cress is reported to be in decent shape but whether the manager starts him against Arsenal given his recent lay off remains very much to be seen
