Chelsea need to sell N’Golo Kante if they are going to be able to afford Declan Rice this summer, according to a new report.
The Daily Mail claims that Manchester United are interested in a swoop to sign the Hammers star, who has developed into one of the best players in Europe . 
The 23-year-old is said to be at the top of United’s list of potential new signings in the summer, as they are desperate to secure a new midfield general.
He would cost well in excess of £100m and there has also been reported interest from Manchester City.
Chelsea, though, need to offload Kante to free up space in their squad if they are to find the funds to do a deal for the Hammer.
Kante remains a key member of the Chelsea squad and it would be another huge deal if he were to leave, but it isn’t clear if there is actually interest in bringing him in from another club.
Up to Declan at the end of the day. As a boyhood Chelsea fan who is close to his Chelsea supporting family and his roots. Who still lives closer to Chelsea than West Ham and whose life long best mate plays for Chelsea, I could see him going to Chelsea. I couldnt see him wanting to go up north but who knows stranger things have happened. I suppose money talks. If an offer came in from Chelsea and Declan wanted to go I would say ok thanks for your service Declan and good luck but If Chelsea want you then we want sixty million plus Ngoako Kante in exchange.
Actually agree with this. Although would also want Connor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour included in the deal along with Kante.
Seeing as Kante is statistically better than Rice in most areas that seems like an unusual move. Would have thought with players like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Kovacic, Jorginho any of those would also be possible to sell ?
