Moyes injury update

|

David Moyes has revealed that Arthur Masuaku needs to see a specialist about a knee injury, while there remains uncertainty over Manuel Lanzini’s fitness.

The Hammers boss has revealed that the Argentina international has sustained an Achilles injury, while Masuaku needs to see a doctor about his knee problems ahead of the clash with Watford on Tuesday.

It is a big game for both clubs, with the Irons aiming to break a streak of two successive league defeats and Watford aiming to climb out of the relegation zone under new manager Roy Hodgson.

The Irons will be boosted, though, by the return of Mikey Antonio, who is set to be involved after returning from international duty with Jamaica.

He saw their World Cup qualification hopes sadly go up in flames after they failed to win any of their qualifiers while he was away.

Speaking to reporters, as per Football.London, Moyes said: “Michail is back, we had an injury to Lanzini and Arthur, so they are both ok but Arthur is set to see a specialist about his knee and Manu needed a little bit of time with an achilles so we are not sure about Manu.

“Mic has returned and had a couple of days training so hopefully he will be fit.”
