West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer and Germany’s World Cup fate will go to the final day of the group stages after they drew 1-1 with Spain this evening.
The two sides went head-to-head in a high-stakes clash, after Germany had lost their opening game to Japan. 
Spain, by comparison, thumped Costa Rica 7-0 but the two sides played out a cagey stalemate; Alvaro Morata opened the scoring for Spain in the second half before Niclas Fullkrug equalised in the 83rd minute.
Hammer Kehrer started the game and lasted until the second half, when he was substituted as manager Hansi Flick went in search of a way back into the game.
Germany will now need to beat Costa Rica in the final group game and hope that Spain beat Japan if they are to go through.
There are other permutations if Germany and Japan both win, but Kehrer and co will need to win their last game, or they will be knocked out in the group stages for the second World Cup in a row.
I think he got subbed because he was on a yellow card.
