Hammers fear as Aguerd returns

|

Nayef Aguerd has been included in the team which takes on France in the World Cup semi final this evening,

Aguerd injured in the game against Spain – when suffering a minor thigh problem – has hopefully not been rushed back into action earlier than necessary for such an injury.

We have learned that such a problem can take between one and three weeks to heal and it is just over a week since he suffered the problem.

Aguerd has been in brilliant form during the tournament and his return will be a boost for the Moroccans – 11/2 underdogs to beat the French.

The winners of tonight’s game will meet Argentina in the final but Hammers fans will be watching more crucially for any sign of a problem for Aguerd during tonight’s action.

A Hammers source told us minutes before the mnatch: “This is a big worry – we are in no position to do anything but hope for the best.”
