Hammers make Pato position clear

|

West Ham have sarcastically dismissed reports this morning  that Alexandre Pato could sign for West Ham.

The Daily Mail claims Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade understood to be looking to offload the 26-year-old forward and that the Irons are interested.

However, a top source at the club told ClaretandHugh:” Oh of course we need another striker down’t we? There’s only four at the club and we’ve only managed 22 goals so far!

“Where does this stuff come from – surely a little more imagination is needed – they seem to make it up as they go along sometimes.”

Pato has been on loan at Sao Paolo since February 2014 after falling out of favour at Corinthians and it was speculated in the summer he was ‘keen’ to play in ‘one of the big cities’ in England with West Ham currently the likeliest suitors.

Nt true. With Diafra Sakho, Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Nikica Jelavic available the club is well stocked and will be looking for a high class right back and central defender come next summer.
