West Ham linked with £15m bid for Italian striker

|

zazaSky Sports and Guardian journalist, Fabrizio Romano claims West Ham are preparing a £15m bid for Italian Striker Simone Zaza in today’s Guardian Newspaper.

Romano writes: “West Ham United are preparing a bid for the Juventus and Italy striker Simone Zaza, believed to be in the region of €20m (£15m). The Premier League club face stiff competition from Wolfsburg among others, with the German side having already submitted an offer of €25m up front.Juventus are holding out for €30m.  West Ham officials are due to hold talks today with Juventus in an attempt to structure a deal.”

Zaza played a key role in Italy’s 1-0 win over Sweden in Euro 2016 as it was his assist which resulted in the Italian winner three minutes from time.

RR HighFollowing his £13.5m move to Juventus from Sassuolo last summer, Zaza was become the fourth choice striker and is likely to be up for a move this summer.  The latest report follows a similar claims by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio four days ago.

We think this rumour has some legs so we have given it a rumour rater of high although we are not sure about the meeting Juventus officials today part though.

I would like to see it happen but the transfer talk suggests Morata is likely to be resigned by Madrid for £30m this could mean that Juve keep Zaza at least until the January window in case any new signing they make doesn’t work out, not sure what the rest of you guys think ?

I am watching Ireland v Italy and I have to say 15m for this guy is an absolute waste of money – not a patch on Sakho

  • ChrisTheHammer says:

Just watched him and I wouldn’t give you 15 quid for him

  • johnham1 says:

I would not swap Enner or Sakho for any player unless it is Laccerette, he is the one we absolutely need, but keep these two and Carroll. What a forward line !!!

  • Stan The Madeira Cake Man says:

Yeah what a forward line. The same one we have had for the last two years.Worldbeaters ain’t they…not lol
Unlucky Matte, seems your Italian boy ain’t good enough, the experts have spoken lmao

  • Antman says:

We have average, average forwards,i just dont understand why some fans put them on a pedestal.Mind it won’t change until we have some top forwards then supporters will understand how average what we have now really are.

  • Slice of Lemon Drizzle Cake says:

It’s pointless watching one match then stating someone is or isn’t good enough.Im pretty sure that any players we are interested in have been watched by Henry,Slaven & scouts many times.Still if our front line now is so crash hot why are we looking to replace them.I don’t say they are average but they ain’t nothing special that’s for sure 😉
