Sergio Aguero is facing a potential retrospective ban ahead of next month’s derby against Manchester United after swinging an elbow at West Ham defender Winston Reid. The Argentine could be ruled out for three games for violent conduct if the FA choose to review the incident in Manchester City’s 3-1 win.
Pep Guardiola insisted he didn’t see the incident in real time – was relaxed about the prospect of Aguero being ruled out.
“Hopefully nothing happens,” he said. “If it happens, we accept and adapt. If we lose him, we lose him. We are going to play with 11.”
Mark Noble said Winston Reid was left unable to talk following the clash. “I didn’t see it to be honest,” he said. “I didn’t know what it was about. I know he couldn’t talk.He said it was because he had got something in the throat. I know that he can’t talk in there so that must be the case.”

With the beard it looked like Costa and he would have been proud of the elbow, but then he is picked on by the officials,
Pity because Oxford would have just got in quicker and won the ball and no harm would have been done,
Just hope this is the last game without Lanzini and Payet,
What’s the news Hugh on Payet I think many want to know,
Post match Bilic said payet and a few more will be back and with Zara after the international break ? I take that as a positive bubs ?
That also means lukewarm should be out the door or benched in a Russian gulag lol.
And Mr wimpey working in the club canteen ? 🙂
I’ve been a great admirer of Aguero but that assault on Reid was cowardly – he’s gone down in my eyes!
I think he will as well Michael ? On the tappas if he gets a ban lol. Swallow his pride as such. 🙂
