Irons look at Maiga options

|

modibomaigaWest Ham have an army of agents working on landing Modibo Maiga either a permanent deal or year’s loan spell away from Upton Park for the new season.

The £6 million striker  has no role to play at Upton Park and the club is working hard to sort something out.

However, thus far – after an ineffective loan spell at Queens Park Rangers last term – there is little interest in the striker.

West Ham believe, however, there may be a French clubkeen to get involved  and are ready to set-up a wage sharing deal.

The club’s frustration is such that are allegedly ready to allow the 26 year old to leave on a free.

A source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “It’s one we are working on. It hasn’t worked out at all here for Modibo and a move would now be in his best interests.”

“If we needed to do a wage sharing deal then we would certainly consider that at this stage of the proceedings.”

If we are to move forward as a club, we need to get players like Modibo off of the wage bill. It’s also worth remembering that there have been even bigger flops than Modibo and it’s also a lesson that the scouting network needs a shake up, with talented targets spotted early and pursued aggressively.

This is so annoying, if we hadn’t messed Carlton Cole about this time last year over what is in football terms Pennies we could’ve got real money for this clown
