At last – Slav’s a big winner!

|

bilicsmilesWest Ham fans have voted strongly that the club stick with Slaven Bilic as their manager despite the horrendous current problems.

ClaretandHugh launched a multi-answer poll which aimed to accurately assess the manager’s position in the eyes of the fans after they were kicked out of the EFL Cup at Old Trafford before suffering a horror 5-1 defeat at home to Arsenal yesterday.

And despite the poll being launched at the worst point in the club’s spell under Bilic’s management, the popular Croat is still seen as the man for the Hammers hot seat.

A total of 756 ( 35.38 pc) voted that he should be given until the end of the season to turn things around with jut 422 (19.75 pc) wanting him to be given his P45 immediately.

A total of 609 (28.5 pc) believed he should be given until the end of December and another 192 (8.98) voted for an end February deadline.

There were 102 don’t knows (4.77) from a total poll of 2,137 votes.

Is it a win when 49% are saying that now or in a month if things don’t turn around get rid which moves upto 59% in two months ? Glass half full and half empty approach I guess. If you asked who out of us like Slav and wish it was working out better would probably be 90% in favour and 10% against (guestimate not official 😉 )

More than 48% of people think he should be given no more than 27 days to turn this around and 40% of those people want him gone immediately and you think he is a winner?

As i have already said on this forum over the weekend I cannot in over forty years remember getting to December and yet to have seen our strongest 11 play.Awful luck with injuries this season but someone has to be accountable for the poor Summer recruitments who have quite simply not been up to the task when called upon.We know we are much more organised and leak less goals with the 3 centre halfs and 2 wing backs system.Yesterday the back 5 only had 2 regulars in Reid and Ogbonna and we were eventually taken apart. The spate of constant injuries needs to be looked at and a really positive January transfer window needs to be utilised to the max. Before that I reckon that after next weeks game at Anfield we have 4 winnable games over Christmas and Slavs future will be judged on these.

A lot of fans wanted Bilic as manager and they won’t admit that they might have been wrong. I think that he should go before Christmas if things do not drastically improve. Fans blamed Fat Sam and not the players when things were bad. Now fans blame the players and not the manager. Some serious inconsistencies there.

I was concerned about Bilic being our manager as soon as he appointed Julian Dicks. It smacked of the old boys club rather than being appointed on ability and suitability for the job. Bilic has carried that theme on by hiring several old boys who were/are frankly useless eg Nikica Jelavić, and the loans this season.

I think Bilic is too nice to do the job. letting the players take their families to training? really? My company allows that too… and no-one does any work on those days. That must be happening at the training ground too.

I hope the board have a newly grown pair and sack Bilic by Christmas if that is what results dictate

Again why are we getting all sentimental and emotional. We are talking about Millionaires not people on 7.20 an hour who go and pay to watch them. As l have said before Slav has to go and the players who think they are better than my Club that I have supported for over 40 years. If we don’t do it now the trap door is getting wider for us to drop through then it will be to late. COYI
