|

Ogbonna1Angelo Ogbonna is our of action until next season.

Ogbonna featured in  today’s win over Middlesbrough but must undergo an operation to correct a problem he has been carrying for the whole campaign.

Slaven Bilic said: “I have to praise Angelo Ogbonna, because he has played the whole season with an injury.

“He needs an operation on his knee to be fit long-term, and it was supposed to be a couple of weeks but we asked him to play.

“Ogbonna will now have surgery after today’s game which will rule him out until the end of the season.”

Sort of explains his below par performances this season. Looked like he was coming good end of last season and first few games this season and then dipped.

Hope it all works out for him.

Yes…..good luck to Ogbonna. Sometimes when players receive so much criticism, fans don’t know the story of what’s going on behind the scenes.

Cant ask any more from a player. To play all season with a serious injury is really putting the team before yourself. I hope the fans remember this. It also now makes sense why we have bought Fonte at the age of 31. He was probably the best available centre half.
