“What else could I do” wails Allardyce

|

AllardyceSam Allardyce resorted to type after the humiliating, humbling, hideous and horrible defeat at Nottingham Forest today.

He decided it was all about him his first words being:  “What choice (in terms of team selection) did I have? I don’t think I had one.”

He then claimed to be acting for the best of everyone in the Upton Park fold declaring:  “I make the decisions for benefit of everyone at the football club. We have a huge amount of problems in terms of available players.”

Then came another massive jaw dropping moment for despite him having said several days ago that the Cup competitions were of no interest this season  he produced a massively distractive argument.

He said: “We have a League Cup semi-final against Manchester City and the main priority is to get to Wembley. My changes had to be severe today, I didn’t want it to be.”

Frightening stuff!

It wasn’t the team he put out that was the problem it was the tactics. Playing three at the back with Downing and Jarvis as wingbacks was suicidal and extremely unfair on the young lads he brought in.

I’ve heard indirectly from a family member that BFS has no interest in the young players, he never talks to them and doesn’t watch their matches – funny way to carry on!
