Bilic delivers triple injury whammy

|

arthur-masuaku-west-ham-action-shot_3785392West Ham’s injury problems simply get worse and worse with the manager Slaven bilic delivering a triple whammy ahead of perhaps the toughest match facing the team tomorrow.

Andy Carroll is again doubtful, Arthur Masuaku is about fifty fifty and Diafra Sakho has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Discussig the trio at his presser ahead of the Spurs match Bilic said: “A few days before the Stoke game, Arthur got a knock on his foot and he didn’t train for a few days – nothing broken but it’s very sore.

Andy Carroll“He played against Stoke but he could only manage for 45 minutes, but he’s going to train [on Thursday] and then we’re going to decide for tomorrow night.

“Andy has trained individually for a couple of days now, he’s going to try today and then we will see.

“I hoped he was going to be OK for the Stoke game but he wasn’t so I don’t know. If you ask me in one hour [after training] then we will know, but not now, it is too early.”

“He did his hamstring, and was out for the operation and was out for four or five months, he came back and now he has got another problem. It’s really a problem.

sakhoWord in Sakho is again grim with Bilic revealing: “In the beginning of pre-season, Sakho got injured, came back in the game against Spurs away, he played a bit and in the next game we played Man United away,” continued Bilic.

“He’s not fit for tomorrow and again it’s his back and unfortunately he is out for the season. He’s been very unlucky.”

To be honest, I wonder whether Sakho has a back problem, or a “I’m not picking you again” problem – he has the operation, the club say he’s gone through his rehab with no ill effects, he makes the sub appearance against Arsenal and looks, if not razor sharp, at least on the way back, and then we get the Sunderland nonsense. I find it unlikely that, given the amount of treatment he has had on his back, a completely brand new problem would have been missed. Not even our club’s medical staff are that useless.

My thoughts exactly these are blatant lies,we won’t see him again.

  • RickinJHB says:

Yip this Sakho story looks total BS to me and if the manager can lie with a straight face then….

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

The big loss of the three would be Masuaku he has looked good when he has played and Cresswell looks very short of confidence, as for Carroll and Sakho they are not a loss more a bonus on the rare occaisions they appear.

    any more good news

  • JMan43 says:

Has to be the end of the road for Carroll with us, gone past a joke!!

  • essexirons says:

Both AC & Sakho are a waste of squad places & need to be shown the exit door asap, AC has taken £25m since he signed & imho that is taking the pi$$ big time for the return we have got.
We wont miss Sakho at all as he hasn’t played for so long any way.

  • Tony gore says:

Ive heard a rumour that Carrol tripped over a buttercup ??

  • Stan The Man says:

It couldnt have been a buttercup Tony he would have broken his ankle if he had done that lol

  • jonnyd says:

No more injury updates on these two please. Give Fletcher the last three games to show if he is worth a squad place next season. Sakho and Carroll should cancel their holidays and find new clubs. Forget about any significant income. Callieri should be not even on the bench and should follow Zaza through the exit door.. Vallencia has not torn up anytrees at Everton so will presumably be off too. That leaves …..,,,?!?!

  • hammers64 says:

That leaves for whoever is in charge come the Summer the job of creating a whole new front line but leaves us woefully toothless up front again. Its all well and good keeping clean sheets but if you cannot score at the other end it guarantees a 38 point season. How anal is that.Give Fletcher a go surely.

  • Stan The Man says:

Creating a new forward line is probably more appealing to Bilic or whoever should be in charge than having Sakho and Carroll injured most of the time but still options.
Sell them both i say. This farce has dragged on too long.
I believe i read we also have a two year extension option on Carrolls contract just to cheer up GW lol

    • Radai Lama..Paid up member of Slavs Chavs. says:

Poppadom has an extra two year option.Youre joking, ffs this is like having a stray dog you cant stop following you home even when you tell it to f*ck off everyday 😂

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Maybe we should sign Lime Pickle and Mango Chutney to accompany Poppadom Stan ?
