Injury issues as City head for the east end

|

Manchester City look likely to welcome back Fernandinho for Sunday’s clash against West Ham United.

The Brazilian international suspended for two games – could replace Ilkay Gundogan as the Hammers look for possibly the shock result of the season for a place in the starting XI.

Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of the trip to the London Stadium and central defender John Stones is doubtful due to discomfort in his adductor muscle.

Benjamin Mendy – who made his return to action following a long absence against Swansea City last weekend – is pushing for a start at left-back, although manager Pep Guardiola is unsure of the Frenchman is ready for 90 minutes just yet.
