West Ham have joined the race to sign Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, according to Sky Sports.
Anderson has been one of Lazio’s stand-out players for several seasons, having signed from Santos for £6.75m in 2013, and has been of interest to English clubs in the past. He won a cap for Brazil in 2015 during an excellent campaign but lost form during the 2016-17 season. He can play wide right but prefers a freer creative role.
Italian press suggested Chelsea were readying a €40m (£35m) bid. Gazzetta dello Sport say that Felipe Anderson’s agents Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci are set to meet Lazio in an attempt to decide the player’s future.
I’ve been underwhelmed by some of the players we’ve been linked with recently but Anderson looks decent to be fair.
No doubt we try and get him on loan with payments in stages plus some old green shield stamps from 1974.
Hard to believe we could be realistically going for this geezer. Just watched several u-tubes of him playing in Italy during the last 2 seasons, and he seems the first player for years, that I am very excited about if we can get him.
Close control, shoots with both feet, very persistent, mobile, comes in from wide or down the middle, great forward passing. I can’t believe we would get him for £35 million in front of Chelsea. If we do I will recognize it as the power of the Pellegrini factor.
Wow would love to see him in a 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 with
Anderson – Lanzini – Antonio
– – – – – Arnie – – – – –
Although I would think Antonio would be sold to accommodate him.
If Kia Joorabchian is involved then its probably best to avoid him, he also seems to use West Ham to promote his players he wants to move around, the only ones we signed I think were Tevez and Mascherano Pardew thought they were right donkeys….
I massively regret watching the video.
Now I really want him, and although I know it will be an extremely difficult deal to complete i’m going to be disappointing if we don’t get him.
He reminds be of Sane.
