Sanchez finances revealed

|

Carlos Sanchez – the final signing of the summer – will be on £70k a week at the London Stadium after agreeing a two year deal to join the club.

Although he came on an undisclosed fee we understand that was very small at around £2-£3 million.

However, after agent’s fee and wages it adds up to around £9 million over the two year contract. The deal has also been incentivised by appearance and European qualification clauses.

The 32 year old Colombian – known as ‘The Rock’ – has appeared 88 times for his country having arrived from Fiorentina.

Director of Football Mario Husillos welcomed the midfielder’s arrival, saying: “Carlos is a very experienced player whose career I have always followed closely and with admiration.

“He made a great impression for Elche in Spain when I was Sporting Director with Malaga, and came back to Spain last season on loan with Espanyol – plus of course he already has experience of England and the Premier League from his time with Aston Villa.”

Sounds cheap compared to most of the wages we hear talked about but 70k a week is hefty for a player that most of us would think has their limits, still I guess Kouyate must have been on a decent wedge.

If only we had followed through with Dendonker instead of Sanchez it would of been the icing on the cake in this window, the bar lowered on the last signing, a schrewd investment for Wolves

£70k per week ….. no wonder the lad looks so happy.

After Alan Taylor and Sir Trev’s efforts when I was a lad I naively assumed we would be in with a chance of winning something every 5 years. Still waiting. Still hoping. Best of luck to all our players, all our long-suffering supporters and all at C & H.

Ridiculous if the wages on offer to
    Rice are to be believed

  • DJHammer says:

I’m guessing that the £70k, figure is appearance related, basic salary surely must be lower?
