Where will the Irons finish? THE RESULT

|

Most West Ham fans voting in an exclusive ClaretandHugh poll believe that for all the huge expectations, the team will remain a mid-table team this season.

Two hundred and thirty seven of them (43,32 pc) reckoned the team would finish between eighth and tenth in the Premier League this season although a sizeable 38.04 per cent (213) believe  they could finish between sixth and eighth

A pessimistic 55 (9.82) sees them finishing between 11th – 14th with just three  (0.54 pc ) seeing an even worse season than last year ahead with the team finishing between 15-17th.  Not one voter saw them going down.

At the other end of the table 37 (6.61 pc) see a fourth to sixth place finish with 13 (2.32pc) believing they could be at the top of the tree between first and fourth place.

The only thing that should keep us from finishing 7-10th would be a negative outcome to the Reid contract saga. Even then we should still finish tenth minimum!

However, I would still like us to strengthen in January, a quality centre half for example wouldn’t go amiss.
We also should be looking to strengthen not only so that the club can continue to progress but to continue the process of improving quality and removing the dead wood from the squad.
