Reid fitness update after run-out

|

Winston Reid showed he was on his way back towards first team contention and suffered no ill effects from his Development team run- out lat night.

Reid had been on the pitch for an hour and four minutes before being replaced by 15 year old Jermaine  Baptiste in an enthralling encounter.

Reidy was on a minutes restricted outing of 64 and is this morning reported reported to have suffered no setbacks and we can now probably expect to see him involved in the upcoming Under 23s fixtures.

These are at Swansea  on Sunday where a 1pm kick off is scheduled and the second in a Leesing Trophy mach at Exeter on Wednesday November 13.

After 19 month on the sidelines after attempting to make the bravest of interventions against Swansea in a PL match we are all behind the Hammers long term servant who was last night reported to be as calm and composed at the back as we have become used to.
