My Hammers highlight of the season

|

A  rough season… minimal positives…and then comes Jeremy Ngakia .

The 19 year old has been a revelation – showing maturity way beyond his years … a strong, pacey and composed operator who is great at front and back..

He joined the Hammers at only 14, playing both right-back and right-wing and has admitted he models his game on Michail Antonio.

He has watched and been mentored by Pablo Zabaleta and has pushed himself in front even of Ben Johnson who was seen as the next big thing emerging from the academy.

He’s been my highlight of the season to be honest and with things likely to be as they are in the next window how good to see the club operating so well at the grass roots.

At times like this we all need reasons to be cheerful and young Jeremy Ngakia is certainly one of those along with under 23s skipper Ben.
