West Ham are emerging as ‘strong contenders’ to sign Hull City’s Jacob Greaves, as reported by numerous media outlets. Greaves has been receiving high praise at Jarrod Bowen’s former club and is believed to have been extensively scouted by the Hammers.

The central defender has been a standout performer for Hull over the past few seasons, but his game has reached new heights this season, making him one of the top players in his position within the league.

This performance led to Greaves being named in the Championship Team of the Year, and naturally, his form has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs.

Although Everton has shown interest in Greaves, recent updates suggest that West Ham is now a likely destination for him.

Greaves is under contract with Hull until the summer of 2026, meaning the Championship club will likely seek a significant transfer fee should they part with their star defender.

First define the manager for next season, then bring in new players…

100%. The club would be crazy to buy new players before a new manager (or head coach) is appointed. And players would be crazy to sign before knowing who they’re playing for, the style they intend to adopt etc.

Knowing what players are available is interesting, for sure, and it’s fun to speculate, but we all know nothing will happen until June.
