Haller boost and Ngakia beauty

|

Maybe the best news to come out of the practice games against Queens Park Rangers and Palace in the goalscoring form of Sebastian Haller.

A few details have emerged from both games in which David Moyes and the chosen opposition split the two games into three half hour sessions in order to give every fit squad member an opportunity to get some real action behind them.

Haller took full advantage with a goal in each game and despite these being only practice games that’s more than encouraging and it is notable that Michail Antonio weighed in with one of his own in the first games.

Haller has only one goal to his name in two  months since January when scoring at Southampton and thus his confidence will be done a lot of good.

His and Antonio’s fitness are going to be crucial over the next nine games.

The worst news was that Ngakia – according to one onlooker – grabbed a magnificent winner against Palace, switching the ball from left to right to hammer home a beauty.

They refused to give the kid 10 grand a week? They gave Oxford 25 a week after one big game. This lad handled Liverpool twice, the Champions league and Premier league winners and they offer 5??
