Good news for the Irons

|

Dangerman Traore played a role in the Wolves goal

And breathe!

Wolves completed a treble over the three relegation teams  – ourselves, Bournemouth and local rivals Villa – in Birmingham at lunchtime.

A 62nd minute strike from one time David Moyes West ham target Leander Dendoncker ensured the Hammers stayed clear of the bottom three as they approach their next game against Chelsea on Wedneaday night.

Once again Adam Traore – on as a second half sub – was involved in the vital goal just as he had been in the two that beat the Irons and the one which saw off Bournemouth.

Villa had their chances but most of the time were left wishing the goal was a couple of feet higher with one or two chances being well spurned.

Tomorrow sees Watford – one point above us and a goal better off on difference – at home to Saints whilst in the meantime Villa have now played a game more than us and are five worse than us on goal difference.

Chelski just beat Man City . So we need all the help we can get . Here’s hoping Chelsea have an off day and we play a blinder . Too much to hope for !!!?!!!

Yes, & this is what it is going to be like for the rest of the season. Looking over our shoulder all the time ! It keeps Villa behind us & we have a game in hand – but we will probably lose that game (Chelsea) & we are back to square one. In the meantime, if Bournemouth win their next game, that puts us 3 points behind them & in the bottom 3. If Watford win their next game they go 4 points ahead of us. All of this is going to severely affect the confidence of our players. I just don’t believe that we have the right mentality at the club to react positively to the situation. Three defeats in a row will only make it worse. Only hope that I am wrong !

It’s not right to be looking at the teams behind us hoping they loose, we should be playing much better and looking up. We have the destiny in our own hands and every single player needs to step up and show some fight . Tottenham were poor we could not rise to the challenge it’s not good enough . However I’m there for them as always, I want to see 100% commitment, effort, running , playing as a team with spirit and fight for the rest of the season . Most of all I want wins and want to stay up and have a rebuild. COYI ⚒

The key will be to not get trounced by Chelsea. After that we are masters of our own destiny.
Why not play Wilshire? He can create and unlike Lanzini, who had a reasonable outing against Wolves, JW defends well. Also 100K per week?

  • Graham Watts says:

This could be Wilshire’s moment if he wants to rescue his reputation and to save us then zero to hero! On his day he is as creative as anyone in the Premier!

  • rollercoasterhammer says:

    yes, chuck him in
