Poll result indicates another relegation battle

|

ClaretandHugh readers reckon West Ham are heading for another relegation battle if they don’t sign reinforcements in the next twelve days before the Premier League season starts.

With over 2,115 voting in our latest poll, nearly 42% (526) say we will end up in another relegation dog fight

Another 36% (452) of supporters say they could live with the current squad if no-one else leaves.

Over 14% (179) say the Hammers are doomed to relegation if we don’t strengthen the squad now with a left-back, centre back, right back and striker all on the wish list.

The remaining 8% (99) says West Ham could still do well this season with the current squad if we stay injury-free.

We have lost Pablo Zabaleta, Carlos Sanchez, Jeremy Ngakia, Jordon Hugill, Ablian Ajeti and Roberto from the West Ham squad over the summer.

We do have Grady Diangana, Nathan Holland and Conor Coventry available to the manager after their loans completed.

David Moyes has until 5th October until the transfer window slams shut.

We shipped too many goals last season. Although DM shored it up at the end we can’t do another season having to score two to draw. We need full back cover urgently.

Unless we sign a good defensive left back we could be in for a tough season, we are way too open on that side, Johnson looks like the answer at right back. I don’t think we will be relegated but I do see lower mid-table as likely.
