West Ham’s appeal against Adrian’s red card will be held later today.
The club are “hopeful” rather than “optimistic” that they will see the Spanish keeper’s punishment from ref Anthony Taylor’s punishment overturned.
There’s huge irritation inside the Irons camp that Leicester striker Jame Vardy was guilty of a studs up challenge on Adrian in the first half but escaped with a yellow card.
With Bournemouth looking very lively against Liverpool at Anfield last night the Irons are desperate for a reprieve as the former Birmingham stopper hasn’t convinced in early season games.
The hearing result is expected later on today or tomorrow.
Green wont be coming back im sure of that. His not ready to park his ass on the bench yet. Still got a few more miles in the tank before he does that. I cant see Adrians red card being waved away on this one., I suppose that’s what happens when u got a Ref still WET behind the ears.
The fact it wasn’t deliberate doesn’t make it any less reckless, it was a straight red..
Randolph should be ok on sat but it wont help with the prospect of Green being signed going around in his head. Not sure about Green coming back, he seems to be like a black widow, every where he goes they get relegated. 😀
This is hearing is doomed imho.If it gets overturned i will go down Green St in a sumo wrestlers thong before the Bournemouth match, lol.Randolph in goal saturday im convinced 😉
We have been getting diabolical decisions for two and a half years, since Allerdyce complained ( rightly ) that 2 or 3 top teams get special treatment by the refs.
I had hoped it would stop once Sam was gone. We will see.
Having said that, it does sound a bit like common sense and this is a team the FA do like to come down heavy on
I rate his chances 50/50, if they look at the way Adrian’s eyes follow the ball with the fact that he was making the most of the dying minutes (which is why he came into the attack at a risk of conceding another goal) and had nothing to gain by giving away a foul, then his chances are good
