Allardyce advice goes over Carroll’s head

|

CarrollallardyceAndy Carroll has made it clear that he’s unlikely to be able to follow manager Sam Allardyce’s wishes.

The big fella – appearing, it seems to us a bit crazily, for no more than two or three minutes at the end of the Villa game – is ready to continue his normal game.

And that’s despite Sam Allardyce explaining he needs to be a little more careful with his challenges in order to protect himself from injury.

The manager claimed before Saturday’s game that he needs to know which challenges Carroll can make and which he can’t, thus protecting himself.

He added that he couldn’t actually say such a thing face to face as he wouldn’t and couldn’t expect the player to think to himself on the pitch: “Oh and can’t go for that one because the boss told me not to!”

Carroll however, seems to be ready to let the issue pass over his head declaring: “If he wants me to stop doing that, it is going to be quite hard. I am going to go for it and give it my all.”
