Andy Carroll speculation continues despite Moyes denial

|

lewisRespected Daily Mirror journalist Darren Lewis insists the rumour has some substance despite Moyes being bemused over speculation.

Lewis writing on his Twitter account told West Ham fans:

“Only potential loan benefit to West Ham is that Chelsea are prepared to allow Bayshuayi to go the other way. But West Ham now have other options, which a cash deal would finance.”

Adding that “West Ham in a tight spot. Chelsea have no intention of paying £20m-plus for Carroll. Want to loan him. Hammers only want cash deal. “Injured” Carroll wants Chelsea. Story from Monday”

On Monday Lewis wrote an article in the Mirror saying “West Ham fear Andy Carroll has had his head turned by the prospect of a loan move to Chelsea. The east Londoners have been offered a swap deal by the defending Premier League champions which would see Michy Batshuayi go the other way.West Ham would prefer a straight cash deal but Carroll is understood to have his heart set on a move to Stamford Bridge where he would play Champions League football.”

Moyes may be in the dark about it, Sully doesn’t have to tell his temporary manager anything if he doesn’t want too, all that being said Journo’s have to fill column inches respected or otherwise. As for a loan deal there is zero chance of that happening and I don’t think we have anything to worry about, apart from anything else if Carroll wants to go to the World Cup he will have to play well for us between now and the end of the season, he is also injured (allegedly) which would make a permanent move unlikely as is the case that Conte is unlikely to be there next season managing Italy once more I would imagine. Overall rumour rating – smells of bacon wafting over Stamford Bridge as the pigs fly south…

Agree & no Bids have been made mostly btwn Agents right now. But AC has had his head turned & Conte does like a TGT man & Andy would do well there bc he would get good service but would still be a sub most likely maybe start more w CL games.
But Chelsea don’t like to buy over 28 but AC is type of CF Conte likes & think he would do well.
I also think if they did offer £20m w his injuries & evryrhing else we would be mad not to take it. Especially if we had someone lined up like supposedly Smolov wants to come once we let a CF go or Babacar we need an out & out CF who is well rounded & both of them are.
Would also reduce wage bill & if no offense could offload Hart I would £100k wages we could use.

But I can’t see the baors saying No to this even if Moyes wants to keep him as a sub esp if he wants to go bc business wise makes most sense if we have replacement

I think the journalist hasn’t a Vivid imagination Carol playing championship football he cannot manage three games in a row in the prem also Conte must surely be aware he is injury prone so even taking him on load would be a gamble
