Arnautovic gives hint on West Ham future

|

Marko Arnautiovic has heavily hinted he will remain a Hammer next season with a simple message on social media which read We go next season.”

The four words follow Manuel Pellegrini telling reporters post-match “I am absolutely convinced next season we will see a great Marko.”

West Ham rejected a £31.5m bid from China for the 31-year-old in the winter while giving him a one-year contract extension, raising his basic wage to £125,000 per week and giving him a and £45m release clause for the summer by a set date.

Marko’s brace of goals yesterday brings his total to double figures with ten goals to his name plus a further three for Austria in his international appearances.

Club insiders are convinced Marko Arnautovic will stay a Hammer after the summer transfer window and a £45m bid from China or elsewhere is unlikely to materialise.

His wife Sarah and his two daughters are said to be happy and settled in London.

I had a feeling Arnie would score yesterday , well played and good for him. The fans need to forgive and forget and get behind him again. On his day he’s superb let’s see more of that next weekend and the fans will start to llove him again . Let’s finish the season on a high with a win next week . Give it all next week COYI ⚒

    That would be good news.
All he needs close season, is an extensive course of ‘grow-up’ injections, and his sky will be the limit.
However, anyone at his age and evolution that would choose China, or anywhere else, purely for financial reward does need some sort of scan, merely to confirm the existence of a brain.
To be fair to him, £125k/week (probably Netto) must be difficult for a small family like his to survive on………..

Agree with the first part but strongly disagree with the latter. If, at the end of a career (yes, I know players move to pundits, managers etc), you can do one last adventure, create a name for yourself somewhere new, meet new people and making stupid money whilst doing it qualifies as having no brain!? Perhaps I misunderstood as for me it’s a no brainer… Let me be clear that Mark’s approach and conduct here was disgraceful; for comparison to my point look at the Xavi’s and Iniesta’s, does your point include them as well?

Totally agree, time to forgive and forget, think all of us would have our heads turned by an easier job for a lot more money, especially if you have a limited work life. Get behind Arnie and we can have a great player for next season

He should be thankful that he is loved by the fans at West Ham. He could be a legend here. West Ham made him and if he respects that, then he will be a great asset for what will be a fantastic season next year COYI
