Arnie/Antonio updates

|

Marko Arnautovic and Michail Antonio are both quietly confident they will make the Hammers squad for the weekend game against Wolves.

Both picked up minor knocks in the game at Arsenal but are walking unaided and expected to be available for the match.

Neither are likely to be risked for tonight’s game against AFC Wimbledon  after leaving the action at the Emirates but insider reports are that they are both making reasonable recoveries.

A CandH source said: “You can never be 100 per cent certain of course as there can always be setbacks.

But as things stand it would be a surprise if they weren’t to be in Saturday’s squad.

In circumstances such as this we always leave it very much to the players who are both very aware of their condition at a given time and are professional enough to make a decision on their own fitness given both knocks were relatively minor.”

Great news and really good to hear . The Wolves game has become even at this early stage of the season , a six pointer .
But on another theme ; seeing Man Utd lose two out of three and conceding six goals in the process does rather throw a different slight on our problems . I have been critical , as have others ! , but seeing some recent results in the Premiership it does leave me with a fair bit of optimism for the season ahead . We still haven’t gotten off the mark and the upcoming game against Wolves is the perfect opportunity to get points on the board . I refuse to suggest the Team Pelligrini should choose but the defense needs some serious repairs .
We are creating chances and all it needs are a few of those chances to be converted .
Good luck tonight ,,,, COYHAMMERS .

We really do need Andy Carroll . Sorry to bring it up , again , but we do need him .
After seeing that first headed goal by Kane at Old Trafford my thoughts went directly to AC.
Any idea of moving him on is rediculous in my view . I’m sure he is itching to prove his point.
Must we continue to tolerate his absence through injury ? , well yes . England missed him and we miss him .

Don’t hold your breath Kev. If he does get fit enough to play it will only be for a few games and then he’ll be out again with a new injury. We are now embarking on a new course with a new playing style and Andy will be a square peg. Good at what he does, no doubt. Just doesn’t do it often enough. I personally don’t think we are missing him at all. You have to have something regularly before you can miss it.
