Arthur Masuaku update

|

Arthur Masuaku will be fit for the Hammers game at Spurs after the international break following his return to the club after suffering what was believed to be a minor knee injury.

The left sided midfielder came home while on duty for DR Congo’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

It was believed that the Hammers very much in form player had been sent home as a precautionary measure  under a possible arrangement with the club.

But in fact we now understand by a source close to the 25 year old that the decision to pull out of the international fixtures came from the player himself.

We were told that Arthur had felt a “tiny twinge ” in his knee and immediately made it clear to the team bosses that he wasn’t ready to play in a 3-0 defeat by Burkina Faso on Friday or  Tuesday’s qualifier against Morocco.

Having been checked over by the Hammers medical staff we have learned from sources close to the player that there is absolute no cause for concern and that he has now been given an all clear on his knee.

Having been in fabulous form for the Irons it is great to hear the player is desperate to ensure he is fit for his club despite disappointing his international bosses.
