Hammer Arthur Masuaku is causing a bit of stir on social media after posing a question just before midnight on a potential new signing.
The player’s personal verified Twitter account which is followed 36,000 re-posted a French Foot Mercato message linking Said Benrahma to a move to West Ham and said “Well… That looks pretty good to me, what do you guys say?” with a thumbs up and crossed Hammers emoji.
After creating a stir on social media Arthur later replied “It’s just a question calm down I don’t know if he’s coming or not but he’s a baller”
It is a bizarre message for a current West Ham player who must follow social media rules within their contract so as not to bring the club or the game into disrepute.
Whether the player’s account has been hacked or is controlled by one of his representatives remains to be seen but it appears to be genuine at face value.
Masuaku pulled out of the DR Congo national team after suffering a small knee injury in training but should be fit for the Premier League game against Spurs.
He’s been hacked. Not the kind of language a Frenchman would use is it.
