Away kit launch date revealed

Hammers chairman son, David Sullivan Junior has revealed that the official date for the West Ham away kit launch for the 2016/2017 season will be the 1st July. He added that West Ham (staff) need to be in the Olympic Stadium with the new mega store fully open for the launch to happen.

The chairman’s elder son tweeted “Away kit will be released 1st. July is release – We need to be in OS and shop working fully before release. Exact dates on club website soon”

One fan’s mock up below has suggested that the image above maybe resemble the new West Ham away kit for the 2016/2017 season in the former Olympic Stadium although one insider who has seen the real kits has said it is close but not close enough. The diamond patterns are said to signify the Olympic Stadium steel structure as part of Umbro’s theme on location this year.

    Still hate it,does look like a second rugby kit of some team winning a cup 20 years ago,
    You can’t be seen picking up a trophy with that on,
    Maybe I am to traditional but it’s us that have to were it as well the players get paid loads of money to look like mugs but not me
    This shirt will do for another year,

    I think it’s ok,i hate these all white tops.Its a bit like paying £50 to wear a white pillow case 🙂

      50 quid to wear a white pillow case lol.I hear what your saying,i always find all white kits a bit bland.They are no good for beer spillage either,they show up every drop lol

    Does anyone know when the new store will be open? Visiting the UK in mid-late June and would like to stop by the OS and pick up some Hammers gear.

    Well it says in this article that they hope to have it open for the 1st of July for the kit launch.Maybe it will be open earlier though.
