Awesome Reid on “fantastic” victory

|

CPTnHKfXAAAC7ZIWinston Reid could hardly be more thrilled at the Etihad victory.

The central defender who dragged his feet before deciding to remain at the club has come out on Twitter explaining the mood among the squad after the famous win over Manchester City.

The Kiwi was a clear man of the match in an amazing second half rearguard performance. It may even have been his finest match in the claret and blue – along with that of goalkeeper Adrian’s, returning to the team after a three match ban for his red card against Leicester City.

Winston rarely comments on the social network but was moved to declare: “And another away win last night what a great night it was everyone was fantastic

He was joined by co chairman David Gold who was thrilled to bits with the team’s stunning performance as he declared: “Well done Slaven, great result today. The fans were magnificent and the players gave everything.”

So now we move on to Leicester City and the Capital One Cup this week – no problem…it’s an away fixture!

I saw him rated as outstanding & brilliant in one newspaper that then gave him 8/10 & it also said Adrian was sensational.. out of this world and then gave him 7/10 — what a joke, they both deserved 10/10

Bet Winston is glad he stuck around now.He was superb lastnight,so glad we managed to tie him down to a new contract. He is a huge player for us 😉

They might sing “there’s only one Winston Reid” but I could swear there were more. Every time we were in the firing line, most of the 2nd half, he or one of his clones was there. Haha

It will be interesting to see what team he picks. There will be plenty of tired players, and plenty other players waiting for their chance. Whatever team we put out will have quality all over it.
