West Ham get a big warning

|

More fighting talk from our Dutch opponents tonight as the AZ Alkmaar boss Pascal Jansen says he knows the secret to beating West Ham after watching the win over ‘poor’ Man United.

The London born Jansen, believes he saw West Ham at their best on Sunday night, but against a very poor Manchester United side.

Meanwhile our respectful  Mr Moyes was busily playing down the fact that the Hammers were the bookies favourites to go through, by saying how tough AZ Alkmaar will be this evening.

Jansen on the other hand was crowing about how his quick his young side will be against the Irons, especially in one-on-ones.

And he has vowed to attack West Ham to prove his point.

In his pre-match press conference, transcribed  by Hammers News, he made it clear that he was ready to send his team out on their mission saying: ““I was here on Sunday to watch West Ham’s game against Manchester United”

‘They can’t stay away from one-on-ones for 95 minutes and we’ll attack them’

“I’ve been following West Ham since the draw and there are recurring elements in every game.

“I’m happy I watched the Manchester United game because I saw them at their best, so I’ve got a good view of what they’re capable of. I got a general idea of them. It was a good game, but I also didn’t think (Man) United was very good.

“They are very capable, very powerful but I don’t think they can stay away from one-on-ones for 95 minutes and we won’t be scared to attack them…

“We tried to find their weaknesses and of course we will try to profit from that…

We shall see Mr Jansen, we shall see !
